Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Boy!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATTON! We are so blessed to have you in our lives. From the moment you were born we knew you were a blessing. You spent the first 10 days of your life in the NICU. We were terrified but we knew that the gracious Lord surrounded you with his protection. Your Aunt Haley Grace captured this picture the day you were born.....

This picture reminds me of a verse in the Bible... "Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds after the rain. This was the appearance of the surrounding brilliant light; it looked like the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I threw myself face down, and I heard a voice speaking." Ezekial 1:28

"Every time the rainbow is mentioned, it is mentioned in the context of God and His sovereign power. The rainbow around God’s throne is a symbol of God’s faithfulness that even in judgment, God will always remember His covenant and protect His own. The rainbow is a sign of God’s faithfulness to His people."

God has been faithful to us throughout the pregnancy, your first ten days in the NICU and your entire first year. Through his sovereign power he will continue to be with us as we raise you in a Christian home and he will continue to strengthen you throughout your life. Your first year has been the best year of our lives. We can't imagine life without you and we thank God for you everyday! We have enjoyed watching you grow over the past year and develop your own little personality. You are a delight and we look forward to watching you grow over the next year and many, many more! We love you, Patton~ mommy and daddy~

Since we had Patton's party last weekend I will give you a recap of his birthday day with mommy and daddy:

GOOD MORNING BIRTHDAY BOY!

Patton woke up bright and early on his birthday (5:45). I guess he knew it was his special day!

We started the morning off at the Magic Muffin. Patton enjoyed a chocolate chip muffin, blueberry muffin, a banana, and some milk.

Then we spent the rest of the morning at the park. Patton had so much fun playing swinging with daddy, playing in the dirt and sliding with mommy...

We wrapped the birthday celebration up by singing happy birthday to Patton and giving him his present...

And the rest of the day consisted of lots of playing and ALABAMA FOOTBALL! He was so exhausted by the end of the night that he skipped eating birthday cake and went straight to bed.

WE LOVE YOU PATTON!
