Let's Go Fly a Kite ....

We got Patton a kite the other day when we were at Walmart. It is nothing fancy but it was so cute. We went out in the backyard and tried to fly it. At first Patton was interested but then he starting walking around in the backyard and discovered that playing with sticks was more fun than watching the Elmo kite fly in the sky. But we will try again!

SNOW DAY

We woke up to a pleasant surprise, a yard covered in snow! Patton loved playing in. I had him extremely bundled up, so much that he could barely walk. It was a lot of fun!

Visit with Grandma and Grandpa Bill

Grandma and Grandpa Bill came in town to visit with us and play with Patton. We had a great time catching up and doing some work around the house. We always take advantage of Grandpa Bill when he comes in town! We always have a running list of projects around the house that we can work on when we hear that Grandpa Bill is coming! On this particular day we replaced all the electrical outlets in the kitchen to update that and we took out an old furnace thermostat that no longer worked and patched the wall with plaster. Next step is to paint.

Valentine's Day

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Patton brought me roses! He is such a sweetheart and then Nana surprised us on Valentine's Day. She couldn't go without seeing her Valentine (Patton). We had a fun filled day of shopping and then Mark and I had a nice dinner that night.

The rest of Christmas! (very long post and very long overdue!)

I had every intention of posting about each individual family Christmas we had but I am so behind on posting that to catch up, I will have to do one big post. SORRY!
We had a pleasant surprise one morning, Santa Claus came by our house on the fire truck. It was really neat and Patton liked it a lot.

Patton had his Christmas Party at school and Santa showed up. He did not like it very much. Also he had to say goodbye to Ms. Tara, we loved her!

We went to see Grandma and Grandpa Cook for a few days before Christmas and stayed until Christmas Eve. We had a great visit. We did a little last minute shopping, went to eat Ippilito's (yum!), went to hear Grandma sing in the choir at chuch, had a nice visit with some of Mark's friends from high school, had a great dinner with Ace, Erika, and Parker, and of course made the 2nd annual trip to Northpoint Mall for Patton's picture with Santa. Grandpa Bill and I waited in line for 2 hours but it is well worth it!

That night we went to spend Christmas with Jo Mama and Papa Dave. They came over to

We enjoyed seeing them and spending time with them.

Christmas Part I

Christmas kicks off for us every year with the Hunnicutt family Christmas hosted by my Aunt Chris and Uncle Jay. Everyone comes from all around and we have a spread of food and lots of fun. We play dirty santa and it makes for a really good time. Patton slept most of the time. My cousin Kelly was able to make it this year and it was so good to see him. Here are some pictures from the fun night!
